Join us on Saturday, October 17th for three great events sponsored by America
World!
We will begin with a wedding celebration at 10 AM for our China travel guides,
Amy and Lineker. As you may know, they were recently married and now have a
baby daughter. However, they never had the opportunity to have a real
wedding. In light of all that Amy and Lineker have done for America World over
the years, we wanted to celebrate their marriage by giving them a real
wedding in Virginia, inviting our adoptive families as guests!
Amy and Lineker's wedding will take place at Springfield Church of Christ (7512
Old Keene Rd., Springfield, VA 22150)
After the wedding ceremony, we will all celebrate at the National AWAA Family
Reunion and Orphan's Ticket Home Fundraiser at a local park with a barbecue
lunch. We will all join in on some fun family games such as 3-legged races,
water balloon and egg tosses, face painting and other fun events. Come meet
your personal family coordinator and other America World staff and meet other
families with children adopted from around the world. The festivities will be
casual and will officially adjourn around 4 PM.
The wedding and all other fun activities will take place at Lake Accotink Park
in Springfield, Virginia.
This park has unique amenities like an antique carousel, a 9-hole miniature golf
course, bicycle rentals, a hiking/ biking trail, and more! There are some nomial
fees for some of these activities (i.e. the carousel is $1.00 and the miniature
golf for children is $2.00), but America World has obtained a group discount rate
to help cover some of these costs.

Street, Herndon, VA, 20170, (703) 435-3100. Room rates are $64.00 per night. To
book your room, please call the hotel and notify them that you are with the
America World Adoption block of rooms.
