El Salvador is open for waiting children adoptions.
Application through dossier submission will take approximately 4-7 months. The wait time from dossier approval through referral acceptance and approval can vary and be long and unpredictable. It is expected this timeframe will take 6-18 months from dossier approval to acceptance of a waiting child referral. After accepting a referral it can take an additional 6-8 months to wait for other approvals and to travel. These timeframes are unpredictable and subject to increase.
