Processing Time
|
Application through arriving home with child is dependent upon child request, dossier building, etc. Approximate timeframe is 10 – 15 months.

Children Available
|
6 months to 15 years are available, with some sibling groups available. Both healthy boys and girls are available.

Parents' Age
|
Applicants must be no older than 50 years old.

Marriage Status
|
Couples must be married for a minimum of five years.

Divorce
|
No divorce permitted.

Children in Family
|
Families with more than two children are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Income
|
Joint income must be at least $10,000 per member of the household, including the adopted child.

Criminal History
|
Criminal records for minor incidents, which are at least 10 years old, will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. No multiple offenses.

|
Medical History
|
Medications and mental health diagnoses and treatment are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

|
Travel to Country
|
Both parents are encouraged to travel; at least one parent must travel. Travel times can vary, with estimated times being 2 weeks in Rwanda and approximately 10 days in another African country. Some travel may be longer than this.
