Following God’s Call

On August 1, 1994, Brian and Renee Luwis followed God’s call to China, where they held their daughter, Fei, for the very first time and brought her home through international adoption.

While overjoyed to welcome Fei into their family, they couldn’t ignore the reality that countless children around the world were still waiting for families of their own. Sensing God’s leading, Brian and Renee felt called to take action. Shortly after returning home, they began laying the foundation for what would become America World Adoption Association (AWAA), a ministry rooted in the belief that one of God’s greatest blessings is the gift of experiencing a child through adoption.
