Colombia Hosting Program

Help Us Explore a New Opportunity for Waiting Children

America World is exploring the possibility of launching a hosting program through our Colombia adoption program, and we would love to hear from families and individuals who may be interested. Hosting is a highly specialized international exchange program lasting 3 to 5 weeks. It is designed exclusively for vulnerable children who are currently in the care of child welfare authorities.

The children who would participate would be legally available for adoption and would primarily include:

• Healthy older children (ages 12+)

• Sibling groups with healthy older children

Hosting programs can provide children with the opportunity to experience family life and U.S. culture while helping families learn more about international adoption and the needs of waiting children. In addition, while the children are visiting the United States, America World will have the opportunity to introduce them to families who might consider adopting them.

At this stage, no program details or timelines have been finalized. We are currently gathering interest from our community to determine whether there is enough support to move forward with developing the program.
