India Post Adoption Coordinator

Felicia Herrera serves as a Family Coordinator and Post Adoption Coordinator for America World’s India Program. She has worked for AWAA since 2021, starting as an administrative assistant before moving into her current roles. Her position involves coordinating direct family services throughout the adoption process and collaborating with other program staff and directors to document and track families’ paperwork, including post-adoption reporting. 

Felicia is originally from New Mexico and received her bachelor’s degree in 2017 in Individualized Studies with minors in Psychology and Philosophy. She received her master’s degree in social work from New Mexico State University in 2020. Felicia has always had a passion for pursuing a career focused on improving the well-being of children and families. Her professional experience began in educational settings, then moved into outreach and community-based settings, before finding her home in international adoption. In her free time, Felicia loves to spend time outdoors with her dogs, exploring the Lord’s beautiful creation. She also spends time investing in her local community through her church, helping out and getting to know her neighbors, and volunteering at and attending outreach events throughout the year.
