Indiana Home Study Coordinator
Melody Johnson brings more than 40 years of experience serving children and families, with a particular focus on children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and other challenges. As a Home Study Coordinator with America World, Melody completes home studies and post-adoption reports for families pursuing international adoption and for families who have already welcomed a child through adoption.
Melody’s connection to adoption is both professional and personal. She and her family have adopted two children from cultures different from their own, giving her firsthand insight into the joys and challenges of building a family through adoption. Her experience also includes private, special needs, and international adoptions.
Melody holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science and spent four years working with the Bureau of Disabilities Services. Throughout her career, she has supported children and families and helped them navigate the adoption process with care and understanding.
Outside of her work, Melody enjoys anything involving animals, spending time at the ocean, swimming, reading, and gardening.
