Meredith Kober, L.S.W.

Illinois Home Study Coordinator

As a Home Study Coordinator for the America World Illinois office since 2015, Meredith completes home study and post-adoption services in the Chicagoland area. Meredith has been working in the adoption field since 2004 in international and private domestic adoptions, foster care, and birth parent counseling. Meredith enjoys getting to know her families well to best advocate for and serve them throughout their adoption journey, and considers it a privilege to work with each of them.

Meredith earned her BSSW from Manchester University in N. Manchester, Indiana. Meredith began her adoption work in the State of Ohio, where she became a Licensed Social Worker, and completed the State of Ohio’s Tier I & II Adoption Assessor Training. She also has experience in Workforce Development and Mental Health Services, serving in these roles through management, counseling, administration, supervision, development, special events, and grant writing.

She and her husband reside in the western suburbs of Chicago. They have two adult daughters, a son-in-law, and two sweet dogs. In her free time, Meredith enjoys spending time with family and friends, going out to eat, reading, decorating, crafting, traveling, and enjoying the Illinois Prairie paths and Fox Valley River.
