Through the Bete Hosanna program, Kal enrolled in paper craft classes so she could learn a practical skill. She received the supplies she needed and found a modified secondhand machine she could use to begin creating paper products.

Today, Kal designs and prints custom paper gift bags for coffee companies and other businesses in her community, creating personalized bags complete with company logos. What began as a skill she learned at Bete Hosanna has grown into a thriving business.

Kal also works as an accountant and cashier for a local coffee company. At the same time, she's pursuing a college degree in accounting, with the Bete Hosanna program covering her tuition. She is expected to graduate in about eight months.
