Melinda Sallé

Director of Development

Melinda has been working with America World in various capacities since 2014. She first joined a mission trip to China that year, an experience God used to profoundly shape her heart and reveal God’s heart for the vulnerable. In 2015, her family adopted through America World’s China program.

Since then, Melinda has led numerous mission teams to Ethiopia and helped establish the Bete Hosanna Home in 2019. In 2022, she joined America World staff as Development Project Coordinator, managing the organization’s Ethiopia programs. In 2024, she expanded her role to Development Director, continuing her leadership in Ethiopia while also overseeing development efforts across the organization.

Melinda is a mother of five and enjoys the beach, thrifting, bike riding, coffee (especially Ethiopian coffee), and traveling. She is motivated by God's love, which compels her to continue caring for the vulnerable, both locally and globally.
